What “may” we see in our blue boxes this month?

Last month contained a few surprises. I did not think that BOTM would feature an established writer like Jeannette Walls. A few books were below a four-star rating on Goodreads. BOTM did not choose a single repeat author despite the fact that they had several releasing in April or early May. And let’s not forget about ALL the romances. So many romances last month. Only two of my April predictions and one add-on were selected.
Like I mentioned last month, I feel like BOTM has been experimenting with their selections lately. However, I’m not ready to give up on a few of my selections from last month.
What do I hope to see?
For those of you who are new here, Book of the Month is a subscription box where you get to pick a new release hardback book to be sent to you every month. There are five choices (called picks), often representing different genres. You choose one out of the five picks, and Book of the Month will mail it to you. While only one book is included in your subscription plan, you can “add-on” an additional book for $10.99. Sometimes, Book of the Month will include addition books as add-ons, but you have to choose from the main picks before you can choose one of those add-ons.
